Klauder & Company Architects was founded by Peter Klauder in 1994. Since that time the firm has consistently provided professional architectural services on the Kenai Peninsula and throughout the state of Alaska. Prior to arrival in Kenai in 1990, Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts in Energy and Environmental Science from Bucknell University in 1982, going on to complete the Master of Architecture program at the University of New Mexico in 1989. Before, during, and immediately after completing his formal education, Peter gained valuable experience in many construction trades including carpentry, welding, masonry, roofing, flooring and landscaping, among others. 

 Peter understands the value of maintaining proficiency across an ever-expanding technological horizon, and is committed to leveraging the robust capabilities of Building Information Management (BIM) tools as yet another way to deliver value to his clients. Peter regularly attends numerous continuing education courses, including Arctic Engineering, AutoCAD, and LEED Accredited Professional (AP) training. Holding a certificate from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB), Peter also maintains reciprocity as a registered architect in Alaska and Hawaii.

 As the Principal of Klauder & Company Architects, Peter Klauder employs a dynamic team of design architects, drafters, and support staff, in addition to contract-based personnel which enable the firm to expand and contract as economic conditions fluctuate. In addition to his dedicated staff, Peter's leadership experience extends to orchestrate the talents of a variety of professional technical consultants and specialists in the fields of structural, mechanical, electrical and civil engineering, landscape architecture, and numerous others. Over two decades of leading successful design and construction projects across the furthest remote reaches of Alaska have enabled Peter to cultivate strong working relationships with his peers as well as his clients.
